Calling it the most affordable industrial printhead on the market, DPS Innovations, a developer and supplier of control boards for industrial printheads, has released a new driver board specifically designed for the Ricoh GH2220 industrial printhead.
According DPS, one main advantage of the GH2220 printhead is its durability. It has an industrial strength structure that “is characteristic of other, more expensive types of printheads produced by Ricoh.” Another important benefit is the price, which will be lower than the price of a similar printhead produced by competing OEM, according to DPS. The DPS control driver board for the printhead is available to all equipment manufacturers and integrators of inkjet solutions. DPS can also supply full datapath line (Ethernet based), continuous ink supply system with negative vacuum pressure, motion control for X,Y,Z, as well as a printhead cleaning system. The DPS system has modular architecture and can be used partially in addition to being used as a full printer engine – including customizable user interface software.
“We have developed and completed testing of our newest control board for Ricoh GH2220, and we were convinced during the testing of the high reliability that this printhead provides,” said Vlad Mirchev, Founder of DPS Innovations. DPS added that, taking into consideration that the printhead is geared towards low-cost inkjet solutions, they have come up with “a highly attractive pricing policy. I’m sure that you will not find a better cost per nozzle anywhere in the world.”
