Drytac, an international manufacturer of adhesive-coated products, has appointed two industry veterans to its Canadian and U.S. sales teams. Paul Barker will fill the newly created position of Custom Coatings Account Manager – Outside Sales for Drytac Canada. Brad Haupt will serve as Midwest Regional Sales Manager for Drytac Corporation in the United States.
Barker, who has more than 28 years of outside sales experience in the plastics, printing and packaging markets, brings multi-market knowledge on how materials interact with different surfaces, packaging equipment and environmental conditions. Over the last 10 years, he has been involved in the printed pressure-sensitive label market. Prior to that, he gained experience in the injection and blow-moulding industry with Reliance Products in Winnipeg, Manitoba and spent another 14 years in plastics conversion and polypropylene manufacturing with Transilwrap Canada and AET Films U.S., respectively. He will be responsible for growing Drytac Canada’s custom coating business in the industrial, packaging, automotive, label and building materials markets.

Haupt, whose sales career has spanned more than 30 years in print finishing equipment and supplies, joins Drytac from GBC. For about 20 years, he focused on the wide-format market and was selected to start a new Digital Print Finishing division as part of the GBC sales management team.
In 2007, he took on the role of Business Development Manager – Strategic Accounts to increase wide-format product sales, through multiple sales channels, into GBC’s largest accounts. Those efforts led to his transition to Strategic Account Manager. Haupt will be responsible for building upon Drytac’s existing accounts and acquiring new business throughout the U.S. Midwest.
