The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), a leading authority in sustainable printing certifications, has announced its participation in the Ryerson University GCM Colloquium to he held online Thursday, March 11 (11 am – 1 pm) and Friday, March 12 (2 pm – 4 pm). The annual GCM Colloquium theme this year is Sustainability in the Graphic Arts, which will explore both the creative and operational issues surrounding sustainability.
Jodi Sawyer, Strategic Business Unit Manager at FLEXcon, and SGP Past Chair, will present an overview of the SGP sustainability Certification Program for printers, and also represent her company during a panel discussion. “This is a great opportunity for SGP to participate in discussions about sustainability with future leaders of the printing industry,” said Sawyer. “We support the Ryerson University School of Graphic Communications Management in building a more sustainable future for the printing industry.”
The GCM Colloquium is a professional, academic and networking event that’s run by undergraduate students in the Graphic Communications Management (GCM) program at Ryerson University. The annual event brings together students and industry professionals from across the Greater Toronto Area and beyond, to discuss the current trends and developments in the printing and graphic arts industry with a new theme each year. “With our focus on sustainability, we welcome SGP’s first-time participation,” said Bilqis Meer, GCM Student and Colloquium Vice President of Corporate Relations. “We are pleased that SGP confirms its confidence in our student lead program, and support in building a more sustainable future.”
