AWA International Sleeve Label Awards deadline extended to October 1

Due to the high number of requests, event officials have advanced the deadline to enter the 2021 AWA International Sleeve Label Awards from Wednesday, September 1 to Friday, October 1, 2021. The winners will be announced during the 15th Annual AWA & TLMI Sleeve Label Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio November 10 – 12, 2021. Judged by an international panel of industry experts, the AWA International Sleeve Label Awards recognize the industry’s outstanding achievements in stretch-sleeve and shrink-sleeve labeling and product decoration. The awards are open to printers, converters, brand owners and end users. All entries must be commercial products or offer a label design or innovative sleeve-labeling solution (in terms of technology, substrate or print method) for a commercial product manufacturer that’s not yet on the shelf. There’s no cost (apart from postage) to enter the awards and participants can submit as many sleeves for as many categories as they wish.

Entries should demonstrate quality and originality in the design, production and end-use of all types of sleeve labels. Judged by an international panel of industry experts, the AWA International Sleeve Label Awards include four main categories:

• Heat shrink TD sleeve labels

• Roll-fed MD shrink sleeves

• Stretch sleeves

• A notable environmental or sustainability contribution

At their discretion, the judges may also award a “Best in Show” trophy. Competition sponsors AWA (Alexander Watson Associates), specialist market researchers and consultants to the broad packaging and converting industries, have focused strongly on sleeve-label market developments, and host the leading annual sleeve-labeling conference, which alternates yearly between the USA and Europe.
