Industry veteran James Martin has been appointed President of MBO America, said CEO Frank Bahmer. Martin was most recently President and CEO of the Printing Association of Florida, which produces the Graphics of the Americas (GOA) tradeshow. His previous tenures included Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at both Unisource Worldwide and Heidelberg Americas. MBO America is based in Marlton, New Jersey. “We needed a leader – someone of James’ caliber and experience – to steer our Americas branch as we continue to provide cutting-edge finishing equipment and educational resources for printers in this rapidly changing market,” Bahmer said. “The market now knows that MBO had prepared to meet demand for digital and hybrid lines several years ago. Because of this foresight, we’re several iterations ahead in tech development and have a good understanding of where the market is, and is heading.”
Martin’s appointment coincides with several internal and external market movements – with rapidly increasing North American demand for MBO’s modular components leading the list. Martin’s proven track record for strategic planning will insure continued growth as he guides the MBO America office – one of 5 worldwide and No. 1 in terms of revenues. The move will also help to keep the company at the forefront of the U.S. marketplace. Additionally, Martin’s substantial experience working with overseas headquarters and other worldwide locations will increase efficiencies within the company itself.
