The sign and visual communications industry in North America has new leaders, one of them a leading Canadian printer, as The International Sign Association (ISA) names its 2015 Board of Directors. “Our Board of Directors has vast experience in all facets of the sign industry,” said Lori Anderson, ISA President and CEO. “Their understanding of the issues faced by sign professionals will help ISA develop programs and plans to better serve our members and continue to grow the industry.”
The Executive Committee includes Vice Chairman Robert Mattatall, President of Mattatall Signs Ltd. located in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Founded in 1979, Mattatall Signs Limited is a respected leader in the sign industry in Atlantic Canada. It designs, manufactures and installs a wide variety of high quality sign solutions. Like so many Canadian printing success stories, the company began as a two-man operation out of a small shop, and grew steadily over the years to its current team of over 35 operating out of its 25,000-sq.-ft. facility in Burnside.
Mattatall has been a hard-working contributor to key industry associations since 1990. This includes the ISA Board of Directors, President of the Sign Association of Canada, President of the Canadian Sign Council, and Chairman of the Atlantic Chapter of the Sign Association of Canada.
Other ISA Executive Committee members include Secretary/Treasurer Jeff Young of Yesco in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Immediate Past Chair Chad Jones of Southwest Signs in San Antonio, Texas. Chris Flejtuch, President of Quality Quick Signs in Depew, New York, will serve as the 2015 Executive Committee Chairman.
The ISA Board of Directors is comprised of representatives of the three key areas of ISA membership. These include an Affiliated Association Council (representing local/custom sign companies that join one of ISA’s 17 Affiliated Associations at the state /regional level); a Direct Member Council (representing national sign companies that join ISA directly); and a Suppliers/Distributors Council (representing members who are suppliers and distributors). The Board also has two at-large/unrestricted seats. Here are the new members for 2015:
