Publishers and schools globally use Knewton adaptive learning technology to personalize content. Until now, this technology has been available only for digital courses. With Personalized Print Learning Solutions, Knewton and HP will help bridge this digital divide. The Solution is currently under development for release during the 2015-2016 school year. With the new solution, teachers and professors can assign print materials tagged by HP Link technology. Once a student completes his or her work, the student or teacher scans it with a smartphone app that was developed based on HP mobile scanning technology.
From there, Knewton considers the student’s past work, analyzes the new information, and determines useful strategies from the data of similar students to recommend content that the student should work on next. Knewton then assembles a new individualized content package or textbook chapter in real time for that student. HP Inkjet Web Press and HP Indigo digital printing technology makes it possible for students to have a chapter printed and delivered to their school or doorstep, while web-connected HP printers make it possible to print personalized worksheets locally in the classroom or at home.
