Grimco Canada (Toronto), a leading wholesale sign supply company, has announced its acquisition of Cobalt Graphics (Mississauga). Cobalt is a subsidiary of Cansel, formed in 2018 to distribute its wide-format, offset lithography, flexography and page-wide printing supplies. Grimco has over 50 locations across North America. Its sign supplies include traffic signs, blanks, substrates, boards, digital print media, wrap films, sign vinyl, application tape, banner material and supplies, sign frames, banner stands, LEDs and electrical accessories, grand format solvent/UV/latex printers, inks, software and more.
Grimco, with its large, nationwide fleet of delivery trucks, will continue to distribute its current product lines and will be adding Cobalt’s huge array of printing and signage supplies immediately. “We are extremely excited about the acquisition of Cobalt Graphics,” said Mike Bolinger, President of Grimco Canada. “Their strong nationwide presence, diverse product offerings, and knowledgeable sales reps will allow us to better serve our customers in the Canadian market. We also look forward to entering the flexo and offset market. We feel like there are strong growth opportunities in this space and can’t wait to serve Cobalt’s customers going forward.” Stephen Fletcher, President of Cobalt Graphics, added: “I’m excited about this opportunity. Joining Grimco, with their product portfolio, market reach and organizational size, provides a great benefit for both Cobalt customers and our employees.”
