Komori America has announced that 4over, one of the industry’s largest trade printers, has signed an agreement at drupa 2016 to be the first to install the Komori Impremia NS40 in the United States – a sheetfed inkjet press equipped with Landa Nanography, and a new digital printing category employing water-based inks. “The Komori Impremia NS40 is a groundbreaking digital printing system that combines the versatility of digital with the quality and speed of offset printing at unmatched cost per page,” said the OEM.

“We’re excited to implement this innovative technology in multiple 4over locations in the near future,” said Zarik Megerdichian, CEO of 4over. “We have enjoyed a long-term relationship with Komori that has helped us grow our business since our inception in 2001. Komori continues to deliver the best value in the print market through innovation and excellence and we look forward to the competitive edge the Komori Impremia NS40 will bring our company and our customers.”
Jacki Hudmon, Senior Vice President of Business Development with Komori America Corporation, added: “4over has always been on the cutting edge of new technology as part of its ongoing commitment to delivering the best in quality products and services to its customers. We’re extremely proud to have 4over here with us at drupa 2016 and sign on as our first NS40 installation.”
A key factor in 4over’s decision to install the Impremia NS40 is its ability to provide the level of inkjet variable printing required to satisfy the company’s promise to its customers for superior quality coupled with faster turnaround times.
It can print on any off-the-shelf substrate – from coated and uncoated paper stocks to recycled carton, and from newsprint to plastic packaging films – all without requiring any kind of pre-treatment or special coating. No post-drying is required. Additionally, it produces digital images at an extremely low cost per page. The use of water-based inks also makes the Impremia NS40 energy-efficient and eco-friendly.
Founded in 2003 in Glendale, California, 4over is one of North America’s largest trade printers. It has over 400,000 square feet of office and production facilities housing some of the industry’s most sophisticated hardware, along with a growing range of value-added print products. It added another 40,000 sq. ft. with the opening of its new plant in Mississauga, Ontario several years ago.
