AMP Digital, a leading wide-format sign and display printer located in Montreal, recently acquired a new Agfa Anapurna H3200i LED. The 10-foot-wide UV hybrid printer will allow AMP to improve print quality, triple its productivity and reduce its operational expenses. Bruno Laverdiere, Director of the family-owned business, said that he did all the research, went to all the tradeshows, and the H3200i LED from Agfa had the best price/quality/speed ratio on the market for a 10-foot wide printer.
The Anapurna H3200i LED completes the family of hybrid Anapurnas (2.05m, 2.5m and 3.2m-wide) from Agfa Graphics. Its line of Anapurna i printers includes state-of-the-art, air-cooled 16-watt/cm² LED UV lamps as an alternative to current mercury lamp curing technology – enabling printers to print on a broader range of rigid and flexible media, save energy, increase system up-time and reduce operational expenses. Because of their reduced heat emissions, the presses can print on heat-sensitive substrates such as thin-layer styrene, self-adhesive sheets or stretched ceiling materials made of PVC fabric. The belt-driven hybrid can print on all types of roll media, both in a single-roll and a dual-roll configurations. Its white ink function is built-in and includes pre, post, spot and even sandwich white.
Agfa Graphics Canada is located in Mississauga, Ontario.
