First reported here several months ago, Annex Business Media has now completed installation of a Komori Lithrone S40P 8-colour 40-inch Perfecting Press from Komcan Incorporated – the Komori dealer for Ontario and Western Canada. The new press comes equipped with several automation features including APC automatic plate changers, PDC-SII close-looped colour control, AMR automatic make-ready, automatic wash-up systems and KHS Komori high-speed inking.
“This purchase means growth for our Print Division,” said Lance Hill, Director of Plant Operations at Annex Business Media. “We’ll double our productivity, improve quality and lower our make-ready times and waste through automation.” The new press replaces a 29-inch, half-size, 8-colour press at the company’s Simcoe, Ontario location. The expansion is driven by Annex Business Media’s recent acquisition of 15 trade magazine titles from Vancouver-based Glacier Media.
Annex Business Media is Canada’s largest business-to-business media company with over 55 B2B titles and associated digital and event assets. Komcan Inc. operates from Georgetown, Ontario and is the authorized dealer for Komori equipment sales, parts and service in Ontario and Western Canada.
