Arc Document Solutions (Woodbridge, Ontario) has purchased a new Duplo 616 Pro Digital Creaser/Cutter/Slitter from Toronto-based PDS – Pressdown. PDS is a leading supplier and servicer of print and finishing solutions including new and used equipment and parts, CTP systems, rollers and blankets, inks, fountain solution and solvents, and other equipment and supplies. Arc, a full-service document solutions company, specializes in managed print services, reprographics and blueprinting, visual communications, technology solutions, drafting and engineering equipment and supplies, and a host of copying and duplicating services.
The Duplo DC-616 Pro Slitter/Cutter/Creaser is an ideal finishing solution for Arc’s short-run, on-demand digital printing. Designed to remove white borders and prevent toner cracking on digital colour documents, it can process up to 6 slits, 25 cuts, and 20 creases in a single pass. Offering fully automatic set-up and quick changeovers, it comes with a CCD scanner that enables it to recall any job stored in its memory simply by reading a printed barcode, then automatically setting up the job. The scanner also reads registration marks, correcting sheet-by-sheet image shifting and delivering accurately finished output. The DC-616 Pro also comes with a perforation unit that includes two manually adjustable perforation tools that perforate along the length of the sheet.
