Flora Graphic & Printing installs :Anapurna M2540 FB from Agfa Graphics Canada

Flora Graphic & Printing Inc. (Brampton, Ontario) has become the most recent print service provider to install the Anapurna M2540 FB from Agfa Graphics. This investment brings the latest technology to FGP’s ever-growing full-service large-format digital printing operation. Established in 2003, Flora Graphic & Printing also provides design, website design and hosting, digital signage, offset printing, finishing, CNC letter cutting, plastic fabricating, PVC cutting and tradeshow graphics and displays.
The Agfa :Anapurna M2540 FB is a high-speed flatbed, UV-curable inkjet printer for graphic screen printers, photo shops and sign shops that delivers “near photo quality.” The printer’s revolutionary bed design ensures extremely accurate and reliable dot placement. The vacuum on the bed is divided in two table zones of four different compartments. :Anapurna UV inks (CMYK Lc Lm + white) dry faster and produce a wider colour gamut that will allow the shop to use a wider variety of materials. Agfa Graphics’s UV inks have “excellent adhesion properties and high durability” that make for longer lasting images resistant to outdoor conditions.
Due to the accuracy of the flatbed, the machine can print pre-white and post-white in a separate run with use of the full head to print on darker substrates or transparent media, as well as backlit and front-lit materials. You can also use it as a spot colour to highlight certain areas of an image. The M2540 FB has a separate white ink management system. The white ink is stirred automatically at regular intervals ensuring that it’s always in the best possible print condition. Also, the inks let users make precise machine or laser cuts without damaging the image. :Anapurna is also ideal for step-and-repeat work.
