Tony Karg, a respected and proactive printing industry leader, left his position as Senior Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing for Fujifilm Canada’s Graphic Systems Division as of March 31. I echo Jeff Ekstein’s comments that he’ll be sorely missed. Tony joined Fujifilm in 1996 and has held key positions with the Japanese-based company in several important areas both here and at its head office. In fact, he was the first non-Japanese executive to work in its corporate head office. He was also an active member of CPISC’s Board of Directors, amongst many other other activities, and has been an important speaker at dozens of industry association events.
Another long-time printing industry veteran, Jim Cicci, has joined IPS (Invoice Payment System) in Mississauga, Ontario. He spent seven years with Heidelberg Canada (and many other companies) and was one of my first friends in this business, as we were both students at Toronto’s George Brown College. IPS optimizes business cash flow by promptly paying current invoices – and Jim, with his unique background, will be bringing that service to our industry.
