2015 Tabbie Design & Editorial Awards now open

The 2015 Tabbies Call for Entries is now available at the TABPI website (www.tabpi.org) allowing all B2B editors, publishers and art directors the opportunity to have their best work judged by their peers. The Tabbies, the editorial and design awards program, is run by Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI). Paul J. Heney, TABPI President (pictured previously), said that the awards program, now in its second decade, is seeing a resurgence.
tabbieawards2015-in“I think that both editors and designers are seeing the value in being recognized for their journalistic achievements and hard work,” Heney said. “Being honored in a competition like the Tabbies is a great marketing tool for publications to show that they’re keeping their readers first. Advertisers recognize these marks of excellence, and they’re more apt to want to be associated with quality publishing brands.”
The Tabbies international B2B magazine competition encompasses 18 categories, and is open to English-language business-to-business publications around the world that are published at least quarterly, as well as B2B online-only publications. Unlike some more restrictive programs, publications are not required to maintain membership in any particular organization in order to be considered for the Tabbies.
Categories in the Tabbies’ editorial division include Best Single Issue, Department, Editor’s Column, Feature Article, Focus/Profile Article, How-To Article, Regular Column, Special Section, and Technical Article. Categories in the Design Division include Feature Design, Front Cover, Digital Imagery; Front Cover, Illustration; Front Cover, Photograph; Front Cover, Special Issue; and Opening Page or Spread. The online division recognizes the most interactive, informative B2B websites, e-newsletters and the best use of social media.
The deadline for entries to be postmarked is March 12, 2015. A late fee applies after that date. An electronic version of the Call for Entries is now available at the TABPI website. Judges for the competition are selected from suggestions of regional editorial groups across the globe. Winners will be announced in mid-July, 2015.
