2020 InterTech Technology Awards now accepting entries to July 31

The InterTech 2020 Lucite Star Award.

Printing Industries of America (PIA – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is seeking innovative print and graphic communications technologies to compete in its 2020 InterTech Technology Awards. The annual competition hosted by PIA honours groundbreaking technologies “set to alter the way companies provide services and produce jobs.” Manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and software are encouraged to enter by Friday, July 31, 2020, with an entry discount available through to Friday, May 29, 2020. Fees must be paid by the early-bird deadline to receive a discounted rate, officials said. Full details on entry requirements, fees and early-bird discounts and deadlines, can be found at http://www.printing.org/intertech.
Jim Workman.

“Our goal is to highlight the technologies that are likely to have a significant impact on our industry,” said Jim Workman, Vice President of Technology and Research at Printing Industries of America. Since the inception of the annual awards in 1978, hundreds of InterTech-awarded technologies have substantially and significantly changed the printing and graphic communications industry. From software enhancements to prepress and beyond, there are few areas of the print and graphic communications process that have not been improved by a past InterTech recipient, the PIA pointed out.
Honourees receive the InterTech Lucite Star Award and recognition among industry peers. They’re also featured in industry publications, news releases and conference presentations. Due to the shifting nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the decision to hold an awards gala, as well as details regarding the distribution of awards to honourees, will be determined at a later date, said the organization.
