Another successful Ryerson Job Fair

Kareem Sesook, Director of Business Development, and Leah Yeomans, Operations Manager at Insource Corporation (Markham, Ontario), get ready to conduct interviews with Ryerson GCM students.

Ryerson University’s annual Graphic Communications Management (GCM) Job Fair in downtown Toronto is an opportunity for employers to network and interview enthusiastic students seeking summer internships or full-time career positions.
This year’s Job Fair took place at 4 pm Thursday, March 21 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre (Old Maple Leaf Gardens, 50 Carlton Street, in downtown Toronto). Eighty-six companies interviewed dozens of eager Ryerson GCM students for third-year internships and fourth-year career positions, with many companies looking to fill multiple positions in their respective companies.
GCM student volunteers Jessica Huynh (left) and Quyen-Quinlan Vo kept registration moving.

Overall, companies reported that they were impressed with the professionalism, preparedness and attitude of all Ryerson GCM students who participated. They also indicated that they were extremely impressed by the incredible amount of talent and ambition of both the graduates and interns “who’ll bring a fresh perspective to the printing and graphic communications industry in the future.”
Special thanks to the students who volunteered for this event, as well as to Ryerson’s GCM staffers who also worked very hard to make it a success once again.
