Appleton Coated expands its Ethos Enhanced Inkjet portfolio

appletonethos-inAppleton Coated (Combined Locks, WI) has expanded its Ethos Enhanced Inkjet options, adding 45, 50, 60, 70 and 80 lb. text to its existing 7-point and 9-point covers. Ethos offers a smooth, silk, coated-like feel that’s ideal for high-speed inkjet presses. Ethos Enhanced Inkjet has a high-bright, blue-white shade and is designed to provide enhanced image quality and improved colour vibrancy in comparison to standard uncoated inkjet papers, said the company. “Market feedback from inkjet press owners – utilizing both dye-based and pigment-based inks – has been uniformly positive. On-press performance, image quality, ink density, and colour fidelity is exceeding their expectations and that of their standard uncoated substrates.” said John Mazuroski, Appleton Coated’s Vice President of Uncoated and Specialty Products. “This high-performance, uncoated paper works on multiple inkjet platforms, making it ideal for many applications. It’s giving our customers a high-quality, high-value choice for full-colour inkjet presses.”
Appleton Coated’s Inkjet Product Manager Amy Ambos added: “Our comprehensive stocking program of both coated and uncoated inkjet products gives customers a one-stop approach to inkjet substrates, saving them valuable time and providing the best-in-class service Appleton Coated is known for. Ethos Enhanced Inkjet is part of the HP ColorPRO Technology Partnership Program, meeting industry-leading performance standards for colour excellence in digital printing. Furthermore, our collaborative, hands-on approach with printers to maximize performance and productivity is a real difference-maker for our customers. We’ve also updated our What Works and Where brochure which gives clear answers to customers and prospective customers about our papers and the platforms they work on.”
