Beneco and subsidiary SoOpak honoured as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies

benecoaward-inMississauga-Ontario-based Beneco Packaging (one of the leading packaging firms in North America), as well as its subsidiary SoOpak (a North American short-run offset printing and packaging specialist), have been honoured for the second year in a row as one of Canada’s fastest-growing companies by Canadian Business and Profit on its 27th Annual Profit 500 List – the definitive ranking of Canada’s fastest-growing companies. Published in the October issue of Canadian Business and at Profitguide.com, the Profit 500 ranks Canadian businesses by their five-year revenue growth. Beneco Packaging was ranked No. 432 and made the 2015 Profit 500 List with a five-year revenue growth of 91%. “The Profit 500 represents the highest tier of entrepreneurialism in Canada,” said James Cowan, Editor-in-Chief of Profit and Canadian Business. “They should be lauded for the positive economic contributions they’ve made to their communities and the entire country. They’re examples of what can be accomplished with innovation, discipline and determination.”

Beneco and SoOpak were one of the 186 Greater Toronto Area-headquartered firms on this year’s ranking. These companies grew their revenues an average of 608% between 2009 and 2014, creating an additional 15,929 full-time jobs over that period. Collectively, these firms employed 23,282 full-time and 2,338 part-time employees in 2014. “Beneco Packaging and SoOPAK are honored to be recognized on the Profit 500 ranking,” said Yajun (Carol) Jiang, Beneco’s President. “This achievement reflects the strength of our company and the dedication of our team. As one of the few packaging manufacturers on the list, Beneco was ranked 81st under fast-growing manufacturing companies. “Our tremendous growth can be attributed to a number of factors,” Jiang added. “We work hard to make our customer experience very positive.
