Canon Canada to explore large-format web-to-print as a new revenue stream at Graphics Canada

Unearthing new profits with Canon’s large-format web-2-print solution, Canon Poster Designer Plus, will be the focus of its presentation at Graphics Canada’s Innovation Theatre at noon each day of the show. Graphics Canada will take place April 16-18 at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The three-day event is Canada’s largest and longest-running Canadian printing industry tradeshow.

Canon Canada, along with guest speaker Slava Apel (pictured previously) – a renowned industry web-to-print expert, international speaker and CEO of Amazing Print Corporation in Vaughan, Ontario – will discuss why web-2-print is one of the most important and evolving new revenue streams for printers today. The printing industry is moving print ordering online to increase efficiencies, reduce costs and speed up timelines. According to InfoTrends, the online print business will double to $70 billion in online transactions by 2017.
Canon will formally announce the addition of Canon Poster Designer Plus to its imagePrograf product line. Poster Designer Plus is a “powerful, cost-effective” web-to-print plug-in software that adds a large-format poster design engine, shopping cart and checkout functionality to any existing website. Designed for easy and fast integration, this cloud-hosted printing storefront gives printers the tools they need to take advantage of the trend towards online ordering.
