Captiva Innovations (Vancouver), the world’s first flexible electronics LED banners solutions provider, has announced the launch of its interactive LED eBanners for Lise Watier’s innovative lipstick marketing campaign. Lise Watier is a subsidiary of Groupe Marcelle Cosmetics, the largest cosmetics manufacturer in Canada. The deployment was recently launched at 50 selected retail locations across Canada. The P.O.P solution integrates programmed micro LEDs and touch sensors into banners to bring brand messaging to life and better engage retail shoppers.
The mandate for the Lise Watier campaign was not only to attract attention and draw-in audiences, but most importantly to engage them through a fun and interactive technology that would increase brand awareness, leave a lasting impression, and ultimately drive more sales. The result is a highly sophisticated yet easy to operate LED ‘Beauty Wheel’ in the form of a retractable banner. Customers simply touch the “play” button on the Lise Watier banner to stop the racing LED lights, and discover what prizes they’ve won.
“The beauty shopping experience has evolved and consumers are looking for new ways to connect with brands they love. Groupe Marcelle is constantly looking for innovative ways to enhance our brands’ shopping experience,” said Bruna Bressane, Trade Marketing Manager for Groupe Marcelle. “Easy to operate, the eBanners were a turnkey tool to deploy innovation at several retail locations and fully align with the Lise Watier in-store experience – fun, engaging and authentic.”
Captiva’s LED eBanner can be programmed to create a wide range of lighting effects, and customized to be produced in various sizes and shapes, thus lending itself to a variety of unique applications – including ceilings displays, curved surfaces, integrated into End Caps and P.O.S. displays – and in the case of the Lise Watier deployment, adapted to fit into retractable banner stands that are powered by a battery pack. The award-winning technology behind Captiva is a breakthrough concept developed by TF Massif – extra large area flexible electronics banner material with embedded LED circuit lighting and sensors.
“Until now, Captiva’s’s LED eBanners were deployed mostly at events and tradeshows in the U.S. and Europe. As a BC-based Canadian company, we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with a forward-thinking company such as Groupe Marcelle to not only introduce our offering to the retail industry ,but also the Canadian market,” said Judith Stewart, CEO of Captiva Innovations. “In today’s digital world, innovation, differentiation and engagement are the keys to retail and event marketing. Captiva offers a completely new, large-format signage solution that blurs the line between print and digital and provides opportunities to create distinctive marketing campaigns through smart printed media,” she added.
