Duplo USA celebrates 40th anniversary

Duplo USA Corporation (Santa Ana, California), a leader in digital colour print finishing, is marking its 40th anniversary with a special year-long series of events that includes a three-city roadshow and an employee trip to Japan. On the company trip to Japan, employees will be treated to a sightseeing tour as well as a factory tour of Duplo Seizo in Sagamihara and Duplo Seiko in Wakayama. Event dates and locations for the 2019 Duplo Finishing Roadshow will be announced at a later time, said the OEM.
Built upon the dream of one man, Duplo USA Corporation was established in September of 1979. It was the vision of Juko Shima, who had founded Duplo Corporation in Japan 23 years prior, to expand with a new company and bring the brand to the United States.
Duplo USA Corporation spent its first 10 years distributing Duplo’s collators, bursters, de-collators, folders and stencil/spirit duplicators, while providing valuable input for the development of products fit for the U.S. printing market. Forty years later, the company now offers a complete range of digital colour finishing technology that includes its raised spot UV coater, slitter/cutter/creasers, die cutters, saddle stitching and booklet-making systems, flood UV coaters, and guillotine cutters. It also expanded with corporate headquarters in Santa Ana, a warehouse in Ontario, California, and a training/warehouse facility in Suwanee, Georgia to serve customers across the country and in neighbouring Canada and Latin America.
“It’s incredible to be celebrating such a milestone with continued success. Our sales performance over the last four years has been the strongest in our 40-year-old history and this is an excellent opportunity to thank everyone for their support,” said Peter Tu, President of Duplo USA Corporation. “We attribute this success to our valued customers for giving us their business, our manufacturers for developing such innovative products, and to the talent and dedication demonstrated by the men and women of Duplo USA. Our culture treats employees as members of the family and it makes us proud that 60% of our workforce has remained with us for over 10 years.”
