At the Sainte-Justine Children’s Hospital in Montréal, Quebec, a team of 45 hospital employees is working extremely hard to make protective visors for the hospital’s non-medical personnel to wear throughout the hospital. The clear part of the visors that cover the wearer’s face is made from GBC’s 10 Mil Clear Covers. The hospital’s Rehabilitation Center, where orthoses and prostheses are normally built, has been transformed in recent days to facilitate the work of the employees who have been tasked with quickly assembling the visors.
Currently, the team at the hospital has been asked to create 1,600 to 1,700 visors per day. GBC Canada (Mississauga, Ontario) said it anticipates that this program will continue to help the hospital combat the current COVID-19 Pandemic.
