GPA, a U.S.-based market leader in substrate solutions for digital, offset and wide-format printing, has launched Folex pressure-sensitive and non-adhesive synthetics to the North American market, with GPA as the exclusive distributor. With the addition of these premium polyester synthetics for HP Indigo presses, printers will have new ways to create printed pieces that “offer outstanding performance from the pressroom through to the end-use environment.” The PVC-free polyester sheets are tougher and more tear-resistant than thicker PVC alternatives, said GPA. Even in thinner gauges, they provide more strength and stability. Folex Synthetics offers consistent printability as well as superior ink adhesion and image transfer. Unique features include glossy silver sheets that provide a mirror-like finish, as well as transparent sheets that provide extreme clarity without distortion.
