Heidelberg to host G7 Training at its USA headquarters this summer

Hosted by OEM Heidelberg at its USA headquarters in Kennesaw, Georgia, this three-day learning opportunity will include practical, hands-on training to earn certification as a G7 Expert or a G7 Professional. The G7 Training Course will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) July 16, 17 and 18, 2019 (Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30 am to 5 pm, and Thursday 8:30 am to 4 pm. Laptops are welcome but not necessary, and attendees must register in advance.

G7 Expert Don Hutcheson will lead instruction and demonstrations covering G7 methodology, implementation, and strategies developed to maintain the highest possible process control and colour management consistency and fidelity for any printing technology. The course will focus on offset, digital and proofing workflows, DFEs, and print technology in a cutting-edge production facility – as well as colour management and process control for any print and proofing application. Attendees will gain extensive knowledge of the G7 methodology through hands-on practical experience, discussion, and extensive reviews to gain certification as G7 Experts or G7 Professionals. G7 is Idealliance’s global, industry-leading set of specifications for achieving visual similarity across all print processes (currently being revised into ISO 12647-2). Training will focus on: G7 theory and implementation; extensive, live, practical on-press demonstrations (including G7 calibration, profiling and verification); process control and workflow management through G7 to best support your real-world print applications; and collaboration with other leading industry experts.
