Impression Paragraph (Ville Saint-Laurent, Québec) has installed an Agfa Avalon N8-80 Platesetter from Agfa Graphics Canada. For over 20 years, Impression Paragraph has developed customized print, document management and digital media solutions for its customers – the majority of whom are industry leaders in finance, manufacturing, distribution, health, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, education and retail.
Avalon N8 CTP (Computer-To-Plate) systems are a line of thermal, upgradeable B1-size platesetters that can produce up to 60 plates per hour with a maximum size of 1,165 mm x 950 mm (45.8” x 37.4”). Users can start with one of the eight models, and upgrade as their business grows. Improved productivity is made possible by the laser technology of the imaging heads. The fastest model uses high-tech Grating Light Valve (GLV) technology with 1,024 laser beams, resulting in a top speed of 60 plates per hour. Several other automated functions add to overall productivity and profitability. The installation will allow Impression Paragraph to customize its computer-to-print solutions according to its specific production needs.
