Insource Corporation (Markham, ON), a leading Canadian technology supplier and service provider in the consumables, paper handling, mailing, printing, bindery, fulfillment and packaging industries, hosted an Inkjet Printing Lunch & Learn Seminar on Wednesday, April 6 at Mississauga’s Corporate Event Center. This premiere “show on the road” featured the latest Riso Inkjet product demonstrations specifically for commercial printers and transactional printers.
One of the highlights was the Riso X1 ComColor variable-data printer. These compact print systems can print colour for less than 2¢ per page while traditional toner devices can cost up to 8¢ per page. They can also accommodate a variety of jobs including envelopes, numbered NCR forms, invoices, manuals, statements, transpromo, and variable-data printing on regular and windowed envelopes of all sizes in full colour.

Environmentally friendly, X1 technology uses no heat, which means flat paper output, no toxic emissions, a reduced carbon footprint and capability to plug into a regular 110-volt outlet with no special or additional power required. The Riso 9150 inkjet printing technology also proved to be a sound business investment for attendees. The Riso X1 ComColor Series, specifically the 9150 from Insource, clearly demonstrated its high speed, ease of operation, varied applications and above all, low colour costs. Attendees learned about the value-added features that Riso variable-data capabilities (along with the low cost of colour-infused print) can bring to printers and their clients. “Our success is based on the success of our customers, and the Riso inkjet printer proved itself to be a legitimate path to success for them at this special event,” said Insource.
