Insource Corporation (Markham, Ontario), a provider of leading-edge technology and service in the industrial paper handling, card manufacturing and processing, packaging (here is more about Roberts Technology of packaging also used), fulfillment and mailing sectors, has been named the exclusive Canadian distributor of the Kirk Rudy PackJet and new PackCam solution.
The Kirk Rudy PackJet is a variable-data inkjet printer designed to print on packaging. It utilizes print heads with a minimum vertical of half an inch and essentially no upper limit, available in the X1, X2 and X3 models. Created with “low maintenance, high performance and cost efficiency in mind,” the PackJet comes enclosed in an industrialized steel casing and a bulk-ink regulating system. Printing capabilities include (but are not exclusive to) a wide variety of static and dynamic barcodes, dates and batch numbers through its packaged Design and Management software. It can print on virtually all substrate types, such as corrugated board, glass, metal, plastic and wood.
Insource has also added PackCam, an offshoot of the customizable camera system InsourceIQ. Intended specifically for packaging applications, PackCam tracking and quality assurance software is as individualized and efficient a solution as its parent – and is “a perfect companion to the PackJet.” Kirk Rudy products, including all three models of the PackJet, are available in Canada exclusively through Insource.
