Kodak celebrates 21st anniversary of its thermal CtP technology and signs 21,000th customer

Kodak recently celebrated the 21st anniversary of its thermal imaging computer-to-plate technology by signing its 21,000th CtP sale at the recently concluded drupa 2016 tradeshow. Kodak honored Karton-Pak S.A. of Poland who chose a Kodak Magnus VLF Q2400 Platesetter and Kodak Squarespot Imaging Technology
“Thermal CtP is a major part of Kodak’s rich history in imaging and a primary building block of our graphic communications business today,” said Nathanael Eijbersen, Worldwide Product Manager of Output Devices at Kodak. “The announcement of the 21,000th shipment at drupa, where it all began 21 years ago, speaks to the quality and popularity of one of our key technologies. We’re truly pleased to celebrate this milestone with Karton-Pak, a company who can use our system to grow and thrive.”

It also uses Electra XD Plates combined with the Kodak 400 xLo Chemistry System to significantly lower chemistry consumption, reduce operating costs and maximize productivity.
