Kyocera Document Solutions America has announced the release of 31 new and upgraded A3 and A4 Multi-Function Printers (MFPs) and printers, along with six new business applications. “Innovation is at the heart of everything we do,” said Danielle Wolowitz, Vice President, Corporate Marketing Division, Kyocera Document Solutions America. “These new product and application introductions have once again raised the bar.” Kyocera is refreshing almost every segment of its TASKalfa and Ecosys lines. Its A3 and A4 MFPs are offered with a wide range of finishing configurations, and most are HyPAS-enabled and able to be further customized with Kyocera’s nearly 60 business applications. Speeds range from 25 pages per minute (ppm) to 80 ppm, in both colour and B&W. The feature set includes true 1,200-dpi resolution at full engine speed, standard Wi-Fi and NFC with Wi-Fi direct. Service time for a preventative maintenance cycle has been reduced by almost 50%, said the OEM, to an average of 30 minutes. All major components across the entire series share a common design, simplifying dealer service training and inventory management.
“A4 remains one of the industry’s hottest market segments for hardware and Kyocera continues to deliver the capacity, media capabilities, scalability and robust application platform previously only available in its A3 TASKalfa MFPs,” said the company. “These new, lower-segment A4 models offer speeds from 27 ppm to 42 ppm, and include standard Wi-Fi, a 4.3-inch TSi, and dual-scan document feeders on select models.”

Also, apps have continued to play a central role in Kyocera’s success over the past several years. “Businesses are looking to simplify work processes,” said Peter Hendrick, Group Vice President of Corporate Marketing and the Business Services Division, Kyocera Document Solutions America. “More and more, they’re asking for document workflow improvements, not just technology upgrades.”
Kyocera apps streamline document-related business processes, add security and cost-control features, and enable mobile and cloud-based printing. The new apps include several “connectors” that allow Kyocera MFPs to integrate seamlessly with many of the most popular document and content management systems. For example, DMConnect Pro powered by Nuance is an addition to the DMConnect portfolio, offering new, user-requested features such as Zone OCR and advanced bar-code imaging. The app enables intelligent capture, processing and routing of documents, maximizing efficiency across an enterprise.
Also, Google Connector, Dropbox Connector, Square 9 Connector & OnBase Connector apps provide bi-directional access between HyPAS-enabled Kyocera MFPs and these popular CMS, EDM and DMS platforms. Finally, Private Scan is a simple, effective application for secure transmission of scanned documents – designed for enterprises with high security and confidentiality standards, or strict compliance protocols.
All A3 MFPs and A4 MFPs and printers will become available during Kyocera Document Solutions America’s fiscal year 2017, said the company.
