Reps from Esko and sales staff from MacDermid Graphics Solutions gathered at MacDermid’s headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia last week for a two-day seminar to train MacDermid’s North American sales and technical service teams on Esko’s products and the many benefits of workflow enhancement. “We value opportunities to learn from our co-suppliers. This meeting gave our Sales and Technical teams the information they need to help MacDermid support our customers who choose Esko hardware and software,” said Timothy Gotsick, VP and GM at MacDermid Graphics Solutions. “Esko technology has been broadly ratified by flexographic printers the world over, and we respect their leadership position in the packaging industry.” For 9 out of 10 retail packages, Esko solutions are used in packaging management, asset management, artwork creation, structural design, prepress, 3D visualization, platemaking, workflow automation, quality assurance, sample-making, palletization, supply chain collaboration and the production of signage and displays.
The MacDermid sales and technical services teams worked with Esko during the seminars to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the Esko product portfolio and how it supports and manages the packaging and print processes for brand owners, retailers, designers, packaging manufacturers and printers. The Esko training for MacDermid highlighted solutions from its extensive suite of software as well as two hardware product lines including CDI flexo computer-to-plate imagers and Kongsberg digital cutting systems.
Working in MacDermid’s Atlanta Technical Demonstration facility, Esko taught MacDermid personnel how to best use Esko screening and imaging solutions to maximize the performance of MacDermid’s broad line of digital flexo plates, including the LUX ITP products that have made MacDermid the industry leader in Flat-Top Dot solutions. The training also covered Esko’s new CDI Crystal 5080 XPS flexo platemaking system, which combines the highest quality imaging technology with new LED main and back exposure into a single operation.
