Mactac’s Permacolor ColorGard LUV Overlaminating Films now feature extended outdoor durability, extremely clear facestock, better adhesion and much more, said the company. “With a new 3.2-mil clear PVC facestock that’s known for its ability to eliminate colour shifting, and a 58# smooth white Kraft liner, Mactac’s ColorGard LUV family of high-performance acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive films are preferred by distributors, graphic designers and end-users alike,” said the company. ColorGard LUV films are available in a variety of surface finishes – including the LUV8000 Gloss Series, LUV8100 Matte Series and LUV8200 Lustre Series. They can be laminated to photographic prints, transparencies and UV screen-printed images – as well as latex, solvent, eco-solvent, water-based and UV inkjet prints – to add protection from abrasion, moisture and other potentially damaging effects in both indoor and outdoor environments.
“Mactac’s Permacolor ColorGard products have been leading the industry’s overlaminating film space for years,” said Jeff Stadelman, Marketing Manager for Mactac Distributor Products. “ColorGard LUV films were the first of their kind to hit the market 5 years ago, and immediately became a customer-favourite. And now, the best just got better.” Mactac’s ColorGard LUV overlaminates now feature:
- Longer outdoor durability ranging from 5-7 years.
- Clearer facestock for genuine image colour consistency.
- Built-in UV protection.
- Smoother liner for faster wet-out.
Additionally, with a new adhesive formula that displays “industry-leading adhesion and complete wet-out of digital prints,” ColorGard LUV films now have “unmatched superior adhesion to challenging UV inkjet prints, have been tested and approved according to ASTM and ISO standards, and feature a two-year shelf life.”
