Meyer to discuss ways to achieve long-term success at Print Community Conference and Tradeshow November 19 & 20

At Graphic Arts Magazine’s Second Annual Print Community Conference and Tradeshow November 19 and 20, 2015 at the Paradise Banquet and Convention Centre in Vaughan, Ontario, Catherine Meyer, President and CEO of Catalyst Leadership Solutions, will reveal how taking a long-term view to achieve success in your printing business is the way to go. In the fast-paced world of graphic arts, it’s easy to focus only on immediate day-to-day tasks and pay less attention to planning and thinking strategically about your business. While it’s important to deal quickly with what’s in front of you, taking a long-term view of your business will help drive success and sustainability. She’ll discuss:

This will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
Meyer is no stranger to the printing business. She started her career in the printing industry with Ronald’s Printing/Quebecor and has worked with numerous print, broadcast and digital media organizations such as Metroland Media Group, National Post, Corus Entertainment, World Fishing Network and Cossette Communications. She specializes in helping business owners achieve higher levels of performance throughout their organization by providing expertise in strategic planning and change, coaching and developing leaders, and improving individual team performance, employee engagement and training. For over 15 years, her company has operated from a set of three basic principles that are the foundation of most successful client relationships today – Results, Relationships and Sustainability.
The People First Awards
A key part of the Conference and Tradeshow will be the debut of the People First Awards November 19. While technological advancements are always admired in our industry, we often forget about the hard-working people, including commercial printers, who put that technology into practice each and every day to keep their customers happy. This special event will acknowledge their often unheralded efforts in several important categories.

An Irish Party
We’ll have an Irish band pumping out lively and traditional music from the Emerald Isle. You’ll enjoy an authentic Irish pub atmosphere with friends and colleagues. This is you chance to dance the night away, kick back and have some fun – and my goodness, don’t we need more fun in this industry!
