Mimaki USA opens first location in Canada

Mimaki USA, an industry-leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and cutters, celebrated the opening of its new Toronto Branch – the company’s first location in Canada and seventh in North America. The spacious new facility will be home to Mimaki-trained sales, support and service staff who will provide Mimaki dealers and end users with prompt, direct and local sales and technical support. The 11,000-square-foot facility will also be the OEM’s site for product demonstrations, dealer technician certification courses, end-user software and applications training, and various other events. The new showroom is about 20 minutes from Toronto’s Pearson International Airport, located at 20 Barnes Court in Concord, Ontario, near the intersection of Jane Street and Highway 7.

Lead by Lucas Crossley, Canada Area Sales Manager, the Mimaki Sales and Support team, along with Canadian dealers, welcomed visitors to the new facility, which showcases the latest in digital printing technology in areas such as latex, dye sublimation, UV and solvent printing. An on-site gallery is also available for visitors to view dozens of impressive samples of the many types of applications possible using Mimaki printers, cutters and software.
The October 11 event featured a traditional Japanese Kagami Biraki ceremony, often performed at celebratory events, in which the lid of a sake barrel is broken open by a wooden mallet and the sake is served to everyone present. The ceremony represents an opening to harmony and good fortune.
Mimaki printers include core technologies that offer offer consistent, repeatable quality while reducing exposure to certain risks that can delay or even halt production.
