A panel of industry experts will provide insights, live demonstrations and samples of the latest technologies for digital finishing special effects. The event will take place Wednesday, May 17 at Konica Minolta’s new Canadian headquarters located at 60 Courtneypark Drive West, Unit 2, in Mississauga, Ontario. Refreshments will be served at 6 pm, the meeting starts promptly at 7 pm and ends promptly at 8:30 pm. Digital special effects technologies today – best characterized as “disruptive” and “breakthrough” – are providing spectacular value-added finishing capabilities both in-house and inline. They’re considered a true game-changer by those who sell the technology, and the printers who purchase these presses and other equipment.
The May 17 meeting will give you an opportunity to explore the capabilities and functionality of a number of these groundbreaking technologies. The DIA has put together a panel of manufacturers and suppliers to explore the options, the end products and the logistics. These include:
- Christian Knapp, CMD Insight – Scodix & Las-X
- Paul Lattimore, Highcon – digital die cutting
- Ray Pena, MGI – JetVarnish
- Dylan Westgate, Sydney Stone – Spot UV Coating & Morgana Perfect Binder technology
So bring your questions and experiences to share with the panel – but please note that attendance is limited.
