The OPIA is a key association representing all companies in the printing and graphic communications industry in Ontario. Through its ongoing hard work and commitment, it provides leadership and valuable services that promote the health and success of the industry. All OPIA members receive the tools, information and expertise they need to run a more successful business. This includes everything from sharing profit-building advice, to technical guidance, to environmental or safety information. The OPIA also offers a print referral service that promotes the services of member firms to print buyers.
Its government affairs agenda is focused on keeping Canadian businesses competitive by lobbying municipal, provincial and federal officials. In fact, its annual Queen’s Park Day targets Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of Provincial Parliaments and high-ranking administrative officials who decide the fate of the printing and graphic arts industry. Its Government Affairs Committee develops a platform and proactively implements it throughout each year. The platform involves issues that pertain to the printing industry through ministries such as Labour, Environment and Finance in an effort to influence policy in a way that is favourable to our industry.
