PIA seeks speakers for its Continuous Improvement Conference by August 30

The 2020 Continuous Improvement Conference will focus on real-world examples of challenges, successes, failures and lessons learned, with speakers coming from a wide variety of backgrounds.

The Printing Industries of America (PIA – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is currently seeking speakers for its 2020 Continuous Improvement Conference to be held April 5-8 in Columbus, Ohio. Conference organizers are inviting interested printing, packaging and converting professionals to submit speaking proposals on best practices, strategies and case studies in implementing and sustaining continuous improvements. Of particular interest are real-world examples of challenges, successes, failures and lessons learned, said the PIA. Now in its 31st year, the Continuous Improvement Conference will also be expanding to include a broader leadership prospective as well. Speakers traditionally come from a wide variety of backgrounds – ranging from top-level executives, to operations, production and process-improvement managers. Also welcomed are submissions from continuous-improvement consultants and professionals from outside the industry, as long as the topics are directly relevant to printers.
The Continuous Improvement Conference is presented by the Printing Industries of America and the Specialty Graphics Imaging Association (SGIA). It’s also the only annual event focused on helping printing, packaging and converting companies achieve operational and leadership excellence by using the concepts of lean manufacturing and other management and quality systems. Topics covered at the conference fall into one of four categories; Leadership and Culture, Process and Tools (Fundamental), Process and Tools (Advanced), and Developing People. The deadline to submit a speaking proposal is Friday, August 30, 2019. All topic submissions will be reviewed by members of the conference advisory committee. For more information on becoming a speaker, or to submit a proposal, please visit ci.printing.org/call-for-speakers.
