Printing Industries of America (PIA) has announced that Julie Shaffer, the organization’s Vice President of Digital Strategies, will present two sessions, Print Future Shock: Interactive, Integrated – Even Electric! and 3D for Commercial Printers: Your Next Print Profit Pathway! at Graph Expo 15, September 13 – 16, in Chicago.
Shaffer joined Printing Industries of America in May of 2000 and has served as a PIA industry expert on topics such as digital file prep, prepress productions, web-to-print, social media, digital printing and integrated media. The PIA added that her seminars will be particularly beneficial to business owners, CTOs, CFOs, production managers, operation managers, sales managers, technology specialists, project managers, business development professionals and designers.
Print Future Shock: Interactive, Integrated – Even Electric! Monday, September 14 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm will explore how print can be just as interactive as any electronic-based media. She’ll introduce new, entirely available technologies that integrate print and digital communications. Topics will include when and where RFID and NFC applications make sense, how interactive and print displays work best together, what resources it takes to get started with interactive media, and more. Attendees will have the chance to interact with many examples during the session.
3D for Commercial Printers: Your Next Print Profit Pathway! will take place Tuesday, September 15 from 2 pm to 3:30 pm.
As the 3D print (also known as additive manufacturing or rapid prototyping) market continues to exceed all expectations in terms of sales and product development, should commercial printers join in the trend? Shaffer will help printers make these key decisions as she discusses the status of the 3D printing industry, what’s going on in the consumer market, what it takes to get an operation up and running, and much more.
Printing Industries of America will be at booth 3802 during Graph Expo with a rotating panel of experts, industry resources and giveaways. For a full schedule of Printing Industries of America seminars at Graph Expo 15, please visit www.printing.org/graphexpo.
