Rolland LCA confirms its papers’ environmental superiority

Rolland Enterprises (St-Jérôme, Quebec) has released its second Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which confirms the environmental superiority of its recycled fine papers, produced by Ageco and revised by an independent panel of experts. The study evaluates the environmental footprint of Rolland Enviro and Rolland Opaque, and compares them with the North American industry average of virgin and 100% recycled papers. The system-based, quantitative method evaluates the environmental footprint of the paper while considering its entire lifecycle – from raw material extraction, processing, manufacturing and distribution, to disposal. Whether for climate change, water quality, biodiversity or resources, Rolland Enviro had the smallest environmental footprint.

The independent panel of experts concluded after a thorough validation, that “the overall quality of this LCA study is very high. The report reflects Rolland’s commitment to true sustainability.”
