According to the OEM, its new 2D Champion 990 automatic bi-directional digital finisher exemplifies Rollem’s 50-plus years of technology. “It outperforms every finishing machine in its class in registration, speed, quality and economy – all without the aid of highly skilled technicians or operators. And it’s versatile, performing slitting, scoring, perforating, micro-perforating and kiss-cutting both simultaneously or independently,” said the company.
The Champion’s “100%” accuracy, easy set-ups and changeovers make it an ideal entry-level slitting, scoring and perforating system. It has a speed of up to 18,000 sheets per hour on various products – including flyers, greeting cards, multiple-up photo and card products, direct mail, labels, stickers and more. The 990 is available in five sheet sizes – 18”, 24”, 30”, 36” and 40”. Options include a double-head configuration for double-scoring sheets, and a right angle Rollaway model to perform bi-directional work in one pass. For products requiring folding, users can simply roll the unit to any right-angle folder to fully automate production. Most importantly, card products are “100% square and accurate.”
