Rollem releases Mailstream II with automated functions for direct-mail finishing

Rollem Mailstream II.

Rollem USA (Anaheim, CA) and its new Mailstream ll, is a fully automated direct-mail finishing system that converts press sheets into finished mail products in one fully automated process. Because of its small footprint, Mailstream ll is ideal for all sizes of print operations who want to gain control and bring mailing services in-house. With smaller space requirements, low-cost and high levels of automation and production, Mailstream ll offers high profit potential for the mail-finishing process, said the OEM. The uniqueness of this system allows users to process multiple-up mail pieces and perform numerous functions in one single pass. Direct-mail pieces are edge-trimmed, slit, scored and perforated in both directions. T and L perforations can be applied for tear-out reply cards or coupons. Re-moistenable glue is applied, followed by folding and fugitive glue closure as the final step. Mailstream ll conforms to postal requirements for sealing with glue dot closures, thus eliminating the need for unsightly tabs. Rollwm added that these processes can be completed in a single pass by one operator, greatly reducing labour costs. Mailstream ll is ideal for both offset or digital output, is easily customizable and can be configured inline with coaters or presses.
