Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., has announced that Ekta Sahasi has expanded her leadership role to include Managing Director of Research and member of the Konica Minolta Global Strategic Council. She will continue serving as Vice President of the company’s Business Innovation Center (BIC) in North America. The appointment of Sahasi unifies the leadership of the two formerly separate functions of the BIC and Research Division. “It signals a renewed commitment to innovation through the collaboration of customer-centric business development and expansion of Konica Minolta’s core intellectual property,” said the OEM. “It further emphasizes the company’s strong commitment to organizational diversity as part of our overall transformation efforts.”
In her new role, Sahasi will build on her work transforming Konica Minolta’s core products by leveraging customer-centric innovation, current market trends and emerging technologies. With both departments under her leadership, she will be better positioned to drive impactful organizational changes through the advancement of research capabilities and contributions to global strategy. She will also be strengthening ecosystem partners and academic relationships in order to collaborate on joint IP development. Sahasi joined Konica Minolta in 2014 as its inaugural Vice President of its Business Innovation Center in North America. She plays a key role in pioneering new initiatives for internal transformation, expanding core business into markets, and driving the global vision of “tomorrow’s Konica Minolta.”
The Konica Minolta Business Innovation Center (Foster City, California) “embodies the belief that sustained customer-centric innovation is the key to creating new and vital value for customers and for society.” BIC aims to expand and transform Konica Minolta’s core expertise by harnessing “new and powerful technologies” for customer-centric solutions. The BIC builds new business solutions for the workplace of the future, enterprise, healthcare, robotics and connected intelligent ecosystems.
