Israel-based Scodix, a leader in digital enhancement solutions for the printing industry, has entered into a strategic global partnership with Avery Dennison Retail Branding and Information Solutions (RBIS), a Division of Avery Dennison (Glendale, California). Under terms of the agreement, Avery Dennison RBIS (a global leader in apparel and footwear branding, packaging, labeling and RFID solutions) will acquire ten Scodix Ultra Pro Digital Enhancement Presses. Representing the largest client deal in Scodix history, the companies will work closely together to implement the ten finishing systems – with the full range of Scodix enhancements – strategically across Avery Dennison RBIS’ key production facilities worldwide.

The Scodix presses will be used primarily to enhance customer tags and brand labels “that not only inspire greater sensory appeal and customer response, but brand awareness and loyalty.” Avery Dennison RBIS has already utilized two Scodix Ultra Pro systems in its production facilities since 2015, and has received excellent reviews from production personnel as well as brand managers, said the company. “Avery Dennison RBIS is a worldwide leader in branding solutions serving the most inspired brands in the apparel and footwear industry,” said Charlie Brown, Head of Global Innovation, Avery Dennison RBIS. “Clothing and footwear manufacturers are constantly seeking new solutions that elevate their brands, especially at point-of-purchase. Using Scodix, we service their evolving demands for greater branding differentiation and personalization, helping them to display their offerings as a more premium product. One of the first customers to preview and adopt our Scodix enhancement option was outdoor apparel leader, The North Face. When we show customers Scodix for the first time, you can feel their energy shift, creating a ‘wow’ factor.”

Scodix digital enhancement presses have made finishing techniques such as embossing, foiling and silk screening more feasible and attractive to both service providers and consumers. Currently, Scodix offers nine different enhancement applications.
“Avery Dennison RBIS is recognized worldwide as the leader in labeling, branding and packaging solutions, and we are honoured to be their production partner,” said Jason Rollo, Director of Global Strategic Accounts at Scodix. “Yet, it’s an honour that has been earned in the manufacturing trenches of their facilities. We started to work with Avery Dennison RBIS in early 2015, and have gained their trust with consistent reliability and quality productivity. The expanded adoption of Scodix in their global operations is further evidence of the acceptance of the digital printed enhancement category we pioneered and have nurtured to prominence.”
