SGIA launches Sustainability Resource Center and announces Sustainability Recognition Program winners

sgiasustaqinability1-inTo encourage profitable and sustainable business practices in the signage, specialty graphics and wide-format industries, the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) has created a new online Sustainability Resource Center – a “one-stop shop for everything sustainability,” said the organization. The new information hub at https://www.sgia.org/government-watch/sustainability/SGIA-Sustainability-Resource-Center offers many helpful sections and features including:

Three Canadian companies recognized
The organization also announced the recipients of its 2016 Sustainability Recognition Program Award, three of which were Canadian. The program was designed to encourage SGIA member companies to create and adopt sustainable business practices and to set an example for other companies to follow. Selection was based on the submission of required program information and the facility’s actual sustainability policies that are in place.

The SGIA supports the digital and screen-printing communities in Canad and the U.S. Specialty imaging comprises digital imaging, screen-printing and the other imaging technologies SGIA members use, including those they’ll access in the future. These imaging processes and technologies create new products and enhance existing ones – including point-of-purchase displays, printed electronics, membrane switches, signs, advertisements, garments, containers, vehicles and much more.
