Mouvent launches ultra-fast TX801 8-colour digital textile printer

Mouvent, a new Switzerland-based company founded by a joint venture between Bobst and Radex, focused on digital print using pioneering digital technology, has announced the launch of its first printer. The TX801 is an 8-colour digital textile printer producing high print quality on textiles with up to 2,000 DPI optical resolution, and is characterized as having “unmatched printing speed. “This is a major step forward in textile printing,” said Ghislain Segard, Marketing & Sales Manager of Textile Machines at Mouvent. “The TX801 enables crisp, colourful, high printing quality in a cost-effective way for short to medium print runs on a wide range of textile materials. Not only is this machine a major advance on traditional textile printing, but also on existing digital methods, with a noticeable leap forward in quality, industrialization and reliability.”
The TX801 can print utilizing up to 8 colours and, even though it’s a scanning type machine, up to 50% of the print jobs are completed in a single pass – thus boosting productivity up to 200 m2/h or 120 m/h without compromising on quality. In order to reach those levels of productivity, the TX801 utilizes a compact proprietary print engine integrating Fuji’s Samba printhead technology. This is associated with speed, precision and scalability, deploying up to 16 g/m2 of ink in a single pass. The engines are based on the Mouvent Cluster, which results in high optical resolution and high printing quality. The press can print onto knitted, woven and non-woven textiles. The maximum fabric width that can be processed is 1,800 mm with roll diameters of up to 400 mm.
“The TX801 is a very durable, compact and accessible printer,” Segard added. “The high longevity and resistance of the printheads is proven, guaranteeing an exceptionally long service life of the Mouvent Cluster. It’s also one of the smallest digital printers in its category, helping to boost productivity with a minimum footprint for simple implementation, very ergonomic utilization and extremely quick and efficient job changeovers, making it highly cost effective even on very short runs. The TX801 also has a very competitive price per square metre compared with basic digital printers, but with unrivaled print quality. We believe it will change the face of digital textile printing.” The company has a full product pipeline of digital printers that it said will be unveiled in the months to come.
