Scodix, a leader in digital enhancement solutions for the graphic arts industry, has sold its first Scodix Ultra Pro System with a Scodix Foil Station less than a week after its launch. Scodix Foil is an inline digital foiling solution exclusively supporting the Scodix Ultra Pro Digital Enhancement Press. Scodix Foil is ideal for in-house shops and digital service providers who want to produce cost-effective foil applications for run lengths from 1 up to 10,000. Just about any project – including packaging, brochures, business cards, invitations and book covers – can be enhanced via its Scodix Ultra Pro system, said the OEM. C.J. Graphics has won more awards than any commercial printer in Canada. The company has been recognized with literally thousands of printing awards for projects ranging from business cards and stationery packages to books, calendars, car catalogues and everything in between. For example, each year Printing Industries of America (PIA) hosts the Premier Print Awards – commonly called The Bennys – the graphic arts industry’s largest international printing competition. This year, C.J. Graphics is receiving six coveted Bennys – more than any other printing firm in North America.
Jay Mandarino.

“For more than 35 years, we’ve grown our company steadily into the multi-faceted firm it is today,” said Jay Mandarino. President and Founder of C.J. Graphics. “No company succeeds by standing still, and the Scodix system will elevate and differentiate us from any competitor in North America. We view the Scodix Foil station as a critical component. It enables creative thinkers to look beyond the complications associated with traditional foiling and just focus upon the value of the effect. I look forward to educating the market through our many channels concerning the many new facets of enhancement now available through C.J. Graphics.”
Using a unique patent foiling process, Scodix is able to digitally produce professional results that “match and transcend quality standards of either traditional hot-foil or cold-foil processes.” The technology uses readily-available foils to produce a range of colours such as gold, silver, bronze and more, with no waste or mess. With the addition of the foiling station, Scodix Ultra Pro becomes “the industry’s most versatile digital enhancement system, offering Scodix Sense, Scodix Foil, Scodix Spot, Scodix Braille, Scodix Metallic and Scodix VDP/VDE, all in one system.
