X-Rite, a global leader in colour science and technology, and its subsidiary Pantone, will conduct a Fundamentals of Color Training Series of seminars in 12 locations throughout North America this Fall. The seminars are designed to help attendees understand and establish colour quality standards across their organizations. The interactive classes are ideal for colour specifiers, quality control professionals, lab technicians and anyone who evaluates or approves colour. Attendees can register for either the two-day seminar or one of the individual sessions:
- Day One: Fundamentals of Colour and Appearance (FOCA) training provides a solid understanding of the art and science of colour, covering the physics of colour, importance of lighting, how to use spectrophotometres and colour data.
- Day Two: Fundamentals of Instrumentation and Quality Control (FIQC) is a hands-on workshop where attendees use X-Rite spectrophotometeres and Colour iQC software to create colour standards, develop appropriate colour tolerances, measure samples against target colours and analyze the results.
Seminars will be taught by X-Rite colour experts with many years of experience in the art and science of colour. The classes incorporate decades of best-practice colour management experience and have been conducted globally for over 25 years. Attendees receive X-Rite’s exclusive FOCA and FIQC books and are entered into a sweepstakes drawing for X-Rite software valued at $3,200. They also receive a discount voucher valid to December 31, 2015.
Seminars begin September 9th in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Canadian seminar will take place in Toronto, Ontario on November 4 from 9 am to 4 pm. For more information, including costs, please visit http://www.xrite.com/Fundamentals.
