Xeikon 9800 to make its North American tradeshow debut at Graph Expo 2015

Graph Expo September 13-16 at McCormick Place in Chicago will mark the North American tradeshow debut of the Xeikon 9800, the OEM’s digital flagship document and commercial web-fed printing press. The 9800, a 2015 Must See’em Award Winner, has a top speed of 308 letter-size impressions per minute and a web width of 20.2 inches. The press comes integrated with Xeikon’s X-800 Digital Front End and can print on a wide range of untreated substrates from 40 gsm (27 lb. text) to 350 gsm (130 lb. cover). It’s uniquely adapted Xeikon QA-CD toner and high-quality imaging system deliver a print resolution of 1200 x 3600 dpi with variable-dot density.

Xeikon designs, develops and delivers web-fed digital colour presses for labels and packaging applications, document printing, as well as commercial printing. These presses utilize LED-array-based dry toner electrophotography, open workflow software and application-specific toners. As an OEM supplier, Xeikon also designs and produces platemakers for newspaper offset printing applications.
Xeikon also manufactures basysPrint computer-to-plate (CtP) solutions for the commercial printing market. These combine the latest exposure techniques with cost-efficient UV plate technology, high imaging quality and flexibility. For the flexographic market, Xeikon offers digital platemaking systems under the ThermoFlexX brand name. ThermoFlexX systems provide high-resolution plate exposure including screening and colour management, as well as workflow management.
