Twist is used to achieve high throughput, reliability and flexibility in demanding content production environments. Features include the ability to build an almost infinite variety of processing paths, an extensive modular features set, and automation of repetitive tasks – such as preflighting, file optimization and conversion, colour management and trapping – to name a few.
Twist 7.5 now supports new image file formats commonly used by photographers (Raw), retouchers (Adobe Photoshop’s psd) and web portals (png) to improve image handling in design, marketing and advertising agencies. All of this adds functionality to file handling for documents for print, publications and image workflows for automation – while increasing overall performance.
The software company is also providing a new Twist Link plugin, which facilitates an easy-to-use connection to a Twist media workflow engine for file processing directly from Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator. Based on Adobe’s standard PDF export, the link removes the complexity of PDF creation and file transfer with one simple user interface, and sends any document to a selected Twist workflow.
