Formost mediaOne, located in Brampton, Ontario, has installed an HP T230 PageWide Colour Web Press, one of the first in Canada, to bolster its digital printing capabilities as well as address customer demand for more relevant, customized marketing materials.
With the new press, Formost mediaOne will be able to offer customers high-value applications, mass customization, exceptional colour including MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition), and significantly faster turnaround times.
Founded in 1981, Formost mediaOne is a leading provider of document outsourcing, transactional printing and direct mail. Primarily servicing the marketing and billing sectors, Formost produces and distributes variable-imaged documents such as bills and statements, direct-mail pieces and customized corporate communications materials. Clients include companies in financial services, health care, utilities, insurance, telecommunications, distribution and general manufacturing.
“Over 80% of our business is in transactional and transpromo servicing government, utilities and banking industries producing tax, water bills, statements and cheques,” said John Johnstone, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing at Formost mediaOne. “We needed a solution that could deliver any time of day, at a lower cost, with quick turnaround times. The HP T230 PageWide Web Press’ MICR configuration option, along with the printer’s colour calibration, broad application versatility, quality and speed, enables Formost customers to have access to high quality output at a reasonable cost.”
Formost mediaOne also installed inline with the HP T230, an EMT finishing line with dynamic perforations, hole punching and sheeting. The company now offers a true “White Paper” imaging solution going from a 22”-wide, 50”-diameter mill roll to finished product at 400 feet per minute.
